My Christmas Wish For You

Christmas trees, presents and holly wreaths,
The feeling of love like a warm embrace,
Family and friends surrounding you,
With Christmas joy in each precious face.

That’s my wish for you for Christmas!

If This Is Love

There was love
once upon a time.
It was sometimes cruel,
It was sometimes kind.

Was it all a game, a trap, a snare?
A love to mock me,
My heart to tear?

Is this true love he holds for me
Or is it all some joke of fantasy?

Did he give false hope of forever love
to send despair I will never rise above?

I want to believe his love is true
But of all women, why is it me he would choose?

I don’t understand this mystery,
But perhaps I’m better alone, just me.

That Little Voice Inside Our Heads

That little voice inside our heads,
that voice that no one hears.
The one we rarely listen to,
and then regret for years.

That voice so stern, so strict and grim,
which sometimes makes us weep.
The one that keeps us up at night,
and never lets us sleep.

A constant friend reminding us,
of what is wrong and right.
The one we often argue with,
the thought we try to fight.

That little voice inside our heads,
the one that takes no nonsense.
Some call it friend, some call it foe,
but I just call it ‘CONSCIENCE’

Grandpa

The day that you left us
You didn’t say good-bye.
God was calling his angel home,
There was no time to ask why.

How we cried when you left
The pain was felt by all.
Memories now is all we have
And your pictures on the wall.

Though I cannot see you,
I know that your still here.
In my memories you will always live,
In my heart you’re always near.

Tears have fallen for you,
Some happy and some sad.
A man that I grew up to love,
A man I called my Grand-Dad.

We miss you very dearly,
You’re missed very much.
You will never be forgotten,
You’re in a child’s touch.

Reality

If you need a place, in this reality
Just to be yourself, while everything seems awfully
To cry, to scream, to relief your heart
When you feel your world is falling apart
I will be right here, to wait and hope
And I will gently remove the rope
Which lies and tightens around your neck
Pull you away, and of course I’ll check
The light in your eyes is fading away
Turning black, turning cold, clearly with dismay
Your heart feels far away, gone to disappear
I want you to stay, I want you near
I smile at you, and try to remember
What it was like, no need to go further
Loneliness and sadness passing by
Hand in hand, with tears in the eye
Drowning in words, unnecessary pain
No need to describe, no need to complain
Your eyes are open, lightning once more
Watching, sparkling, just like before
I’ll hold you in my arms, hold you tight
Tell you, that we, together, have won this fight
